Travel blogs I love

Recommended Travel Blog Reading.

Heading off on a trip? Or just dreaming of one? Either way I strongly advise you take a look at these lovely blogs.

(This page is a work in progress. I read a lot of blogs. I’m still in the process of adding all of the wonderful bloggers I follow onto here, so keep checking back for more)

Adventurous Kate

Adventurous Kate

Why I love it: For me, this lady is synonymous with solo female travel. Kate travels to some of the strangest places: The Faroe Islands, Macedonia, The Shetlands… and that’s just for starters. She popped my travel blog virginity and inspired me to head off to South East Asia alone on my first ever solo trip. Overall, a kick-ass blog worth reading back to front.

The Travel Hack

The Travel Hack

Why I love it: As a fellow journo and Brit I have a very soft spot for Monica’s blog. Great photographs, envy-inspiring trips and one of the most readable blogs out there.

Vicky Flip Flop

Vicky Flip Flop

Why I love it: Another Brit! I’m sensing something of a theme… Vicky’s blog is great for those who enjoy the 9-5 lifestyle but still have a yearning for travel. Oh and festivals. She rocks at those too.

Ashley Abroad

Ashley Abroad

Why I love it: Ashley is a fairly recent discovery of mine. For Francophiles, she’s a dream come true. I can almost taste Paris by looking at her posts. Also, her photographs are just dreamy. And there’s food, so much food.

Never Ending Footsteps

Never Ending Footsteps

Why I love it: One of the oldest and the best. Lauren’s Never Ending Foosteps is the most comprehensive and honest travel blog I’ve come across. She’s funny, and her ‘incidents’ page always gives me a giggle. Which other travel bloggers can say she’s punched a Chinese scammer in the face?

C’est Christine

c'est Christine

Why I love it: Christine writes so beautifully. Her post on her grandmother actually leave me teary-eyed – not an easy task. And doesn’t every girl secretly wish she could up sticks and relocate to France? On top of all of that she’s an extremely down-to-earth blogger and a fan of pugs – what’s not to love?

The Well-Travelled Postcard

The Well-Travelled Postcard

Why I love it: Hands down the most beautiful blog on this list, Virginia’s blog is another recent discovery of mine. A great resource for those thinking of working or studying abroad. I love the postcard theme too.

I’m always on the look out for new travel blogs to read and put on this page. Please leave a link to your blog below. I’d love to read it.
