I’m very excited to say that I’m visiting Spain again!
Unfortunately I’ll only be there for a week (I was determined to pack in a visit during my final semester at university – especially as England has been horrendously sun deprived this year) but I’m planning on making every minute count.
I’m flying into Madrid (thank you Ryanair for cheap flights!) and then catching a train down to Seville the next morning. I’ve wanted to visit Seville for years – how could anybody not, it looks beautiful. Then I’m snatching a couple of days in Granada, before heading back up to Madrid to catch my plane home.
I do feel a little guilty that I won’t really get the chance to see much of Madrid, but the other two hold a lot more fascination for me. I’ve loved everywhere else that I’ve been to in Spain, and it’s definitely one of my favourite countries in the world.
Along with enjoying the 30 degree heat of Andalusia, I plan on visiting the Alhambra in Granada, enjoying the beautiful architecture, overindulging on tapas and sangria, as well as hopefully catching some flamenco and checking out the bullfighting museum in Seville (although I’ll skip any actual bullfighting itself).
So, if anyone has any recommendations for things to do, or places to stay in any of the above, or even if you’ll be in any of these places in June yourself, please drop me a comment below, I’d love to hear from you!
I happen to enjoy the heat in Analusia – but I prefer hot to cold anyway. I’ve haven’t been to Spain in years, but I’m starting to get the itch to go back. I’m looking forward to your trip report.
You’re right about Sevilla – it’s absolutely beautiful.
